If a lesson is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, it may still be possible to reschedule if there is another available time within the following 3-day period.

Yes, we will keep your study notes safe (and in full confidentiality) in case you wish to resume your course at a future date.

Courses

How can I find out more, if I'm not sure it's the right course for me?

Try a free test to further identify your requirements from the feedback and corrections offered. You can also book a single live lesson. With this option, you can complete our personalised course planner, receive detailed feedback from the speaking and writing tests on your favourite topics, and have your own Virtual Study Room to accompany your live lesson.

How do I get started with my English course?

Complete our personalised course planner as well a speaking and writing test on one of your favourite topics of interest. Once you have received your feedback and course proposal, select the best combination of personalised and modular courses to suit your needs.

How long do courses last?

We offer complete flexibility on all our courses. You can purchase 1-1 lessons in blocks of 1, 5, 10 or 20 hours. Some people only require one or two sessions for help with specific projects such as writing reports or preparing presentations. Other people prefer longer courses lasting several months while some companies purchase continual ongoing training for all staff members. For best results it would be advisable to take lessons over a period of several weeks or months with clearly defined goals.

Can I personalise my course?

The form that you complete at the start of the course will help you to identify your chosen course elements. This includes the skills and areas of language to study, topics of interest, work projects and objectives and preferred mediums for study. We also take into consideration the specific difficulties that learners experience relating to their native languages.

How do you combine personalised and standardised course?

You can select any combination of elements from both the personalised courses and fixed modular courses which are offered on key subjects such as pronunciation, grammar or business writing. This is a highly effective way to get the best of both your unique personal interests and the areas of study which are most commonly required.

How do video lessons work?

Select your chosen number of lessons and then use our booking system to arrange lessons around your schedule. If you are not sure if this is for you, we are happy to organise a free trial. We are confident you will not be disappointed. Please ask for further details.

What is the Virtual Study Room and how does it work?

Your Virtual Study Room is your own online page where you can review key study points between lessons to ensure greater levels of understanding. You will also receive study exercises, personalised feedback and tutor support via our messaging system, as well as access to our online resource centre. Our Flipped Classroom methodology allows you to study and revise all key aspects of your courses before each live class. This additional support gives you greater autonomy to master the basics in your own time while focussing on more complex activities during live lessons.

How do your Modular Courses work?

Our modular courses are complete online study packages which can be used independently or in combination with our live lessons and Virtual Study Room. You can work at your own pace with ebooks and videos on all key areas of study, with hundreds of interactive exercises. Detailed feedback, support and advice is provided throughout, and all fully customised to meet your individual requirements.

Do you also offer courses to native English speakers?

Absolutely. Our courses are designed for both native and non-native speakers and to help them take their language skills to the very highest level.

Language

Can you help with the specific difficulties I experience caused by my native language?

One of the biggest challenges of learning a language is to avoid common mistakes caused by habits and reflexes relating to one’s native language. Commonly affected areas can include pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. However, experienced teachers can recognise and anticipate such common mistakes and provide strategies to help guide towards more natural sounding language. This represents a central part of the teaching you will receive through our courses.

Initial Assessment

Is it possible to receive courses in person?

At present we offer courses in person in London. This includes both in-house classes for organisations and residential homestay courses. Please contact us if you are based outside of London and wish to find out more.

How could assessments be arranged for staff within my organisation?

You can contact us directly to outline your requirements and we will propose a course to suit your needs. We can also arrange for a teacher to visit your company to complete interview assessments for your staff. Alternatively you can complete the assessments and questionnaires through our website. Please get in touch for more information.
